Island of Elba / Apartaments / Marciana Marina

In the north- west of the island you can find Marciana Marina, an enchanting little town, with it's own touristic port and situated near Monte Capanne, the highest mountain of the island (1018 m ). The surrounding green and luxuriant nature reaches most times the sea. Directly in town you can find it's beach of black pebbles and right behind the loved by all, “Passeggiata” (promenade). Not too far from the town there is a sight due mentioning for it's Historical- legendary and landscape value: Paolina's Beach named “Spiaggia della Paolina” because it was Napoleon's sister favourite beach, and it is said that Paolina used to be seen bathing in the nude there. You can reach the white sandy/pebble beach through a lecciwood, there you will also see a rock that can be reached swimming or by foot when the tide is low. Market day: Tuesday morning
